Jackie Lee Sweet

Jackie Lee Sweet, 67, of Maysville, Kentucky died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sweet was engaged in farming. He was born in Mason County, Kentucky on May 29, 1948 the son of the late Herman and Loretta Marlene Blythe Sweet. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hopkins Sweet; his son, Jackie Lee Sweet, Jr. (Marci) of Orangeburg and his daughter, Lisa Sweet (Vince) of Rectorville; five grandchildren, Amanda Sweet, Devon Sweet, Blake Fossitt, Brittany Riggs and Kelsy Brown; four great grandchildren; one brother, Gary Sweet of May’s Lick, KY and three sisters, Louise Young (Bradley), Sue Tichenor and Mabel Sweet all of Maysville, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Sweet and Joe Sweet. Funeral services for Jackie Sweet will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 with Sam Bevard officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Vince Pollitt, Robbie Conley, Herbie Hopkins, Dale Hopkins, Matt Mers, Jack Jolly, Ron Welch and Kelly Sweet. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. .
