

Martha was born October 10, 1936 to the late Charles and Nancy Marshall, She was united in marriage to the late Louis A. Stewart; August 28, 1960. She was a faithful member of Worthington Chapel Church of Minerva, Kentucky; were she served as trustee, treasure, kitchen aid, pastor’s guild, and sung in the adult choir (Weary Travelers).
She attended John G. Fee High School, where she graduated June of 1955.
She was a long time employee of Maysville Extended Care; where she was employee of the month and later retired after 24 years of dedicated service. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her, she also loved to read and work in her flower garden.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nancy Marshall, husband Louis Stewart and her sisters Edith Carol Marshall and Judith Jones and a brother Clarence Marshall. She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons William (Missy) Stewart of Maysville, Kentucky and Jeffrey Stewart (Tonya) of Georgetown, Kentucky and a daughter, Yvonne Stewart-Spain (Jerry) of Louisville, Kentucky. Seven brothers, George Marshall, John Marshall, Jerry Marshall all of Maysville, Kentucky; Charles Marshall of Cincinnati, Ohio; Richard Marshall of Lexington, Kentucky ; Wilfred and James Marshal of Texas..
She also leaves her loving and adoring grandchildren, Trenton Stewart, DeVontae Stewart, Madison Stewart, Khayla Stewart, Taylon Stewart, Austin Bellew, Megan Watson, Passion Watson, Meshia Corde and Aaron Corde and a great grandson Branson Taylor Bellew, along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Martha Ann Stewart will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 9, 2017 with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery; Pallbearers will be Trent Marshall, Rick Marshall, Jr., Aaron Marshall, William Stewart, Walter Bozman and Guy Stewart. Honorary pallbearers are George Marshall, Charles Marshall, John Marshall, Jerry Marshall, Wilfred Marshall, James Marshall and Richard Marshall. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the hour of the service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
