
Robert B. Huff, Jr., 79, resident of Old Main Street in Washington, died Friday November 4, 2011 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Huff was born in Aberdeen on April 11, 1932, the son of the late Robert Bailey and Nancy Beckett Huff. He had worked at January & Wood Co. and Copeland Co. in West Union and was a member of the Maysville Church of Christ. Bob joined the US Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Maysville VFW post and had served as Post Commander. Mr. Huff is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Suzy) Carver and two sons, Mike Huff and Sam Huff, all of Maysville and eight grandchildren Kyle (Sarah) Carver, Kacey Carver, Kortney Carver, Allison Huff, Abby Huff, Amy Huff David Huff and Daniel Huff. Also surviving are three sisters , Roberta Brothers of Bluffton, SC and Elizabeth Collins and Nancy Moore, both of Palm Beach Florida. Preceding him in death was his wife Nell Gordon Huff, one sister Nell Angst and two brothers Paul W. Huff and Billy Huff. Funeral services for Bob Huff will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Knox & Brothers Funeral Home with Pastor David Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Cornette, Steve Sutton, Zac Sutton, Terry Muse, Bobby Armour, Jack Leyendecker and Tom Whalen. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Strode and Chris Strode. Visitation will be from Noon Tuesday until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
