Mrs. Alice Wellman Deubler Laning, age 92, of McDonough, GA passed away June 1, 2015. Mrs. Laning was born in Bridgeton, NJ the daughter of the late Freda Ernest Deubler and Fred Meeks Deubler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morton Robbins Laning, Sr. She was a member of Locust Grove First Baptist Church. She was a devoted home maker who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being the social butterfly; she helped establish the jolly elders at her church and enjoyed preparing meals for the youth and their trips. Survivors are her children, Mort and Sandy Laning of McDonough, and Carol and Van Reid of Guntersville, AL; grandchildren, Dawn and David Avant of Bogart, GA, Katie Reid of Pittsburg, CA, and Ashley and Denny Lay of Locust Grove; great grandchildren, Abigail Grace Avant, Isaac Laning Avant and Amelia Faith Avant.
