

Anne Marie Allen-Wingate, age 71 passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Anne Allen-Wingate was born March 23, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. She moved to Georgia with her family in her teenage years and later went on to attend Clayton State College where she obtained her nursing degree. Nursing was her passion and true calling. She worked as an ER and ICU nurse for over 20 years at South Fulton Medical Center, serving those who needed critical care. She also worked for Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory Hospital for shorter periods of time in her career.
Anne married Rolvin Allen and had two children, Katie and Jay. Anne cared for and fought side by side with her husband when he was diagnosed with melanoma. Unfortunately he passed due to this illness in 1990. She remarried to Dennis Wingate and had another child, Jeanette Wingate, who was Anne's selfless primary caregiver for the past several years. Anne loved her children deeply, and fought through many illnesses to stay by their side as long as she could. She was proud to be a two-time breast cancer survivor. Ultimately, Anne succumbed to lung cancer.
Anne was preceded in death by her father and stepmother Elwynn (Eileen) Keyser; mother Mary Stoltz Keyser; first husband Rolvin Allen; second husband Dennis Wingate; son Rolvin "Jay" Allen; brother Christopher Keyser; and father-in-law Rolvin Allen.
She is survived by her daughters Jeanette (John) McLamb and Katherine "Katie" (Joe) Abercrombie; grandson Noah Allen; and brother Steve Keyser. Anne will be remembered by her loved ones as a forever nurse who always cared for others, a tenacious fighter, and a mom who loved her family with all she had.
A celebration of life for Anne will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. The family will greet friends an hour prior.
