Barbara Morgan Compton

Barbara Morgan Compton, age 84 passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1941 to the late Hugh and Sarah Morgan. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Compton and sisters Cherry Shoup, Dell Watford, and Donna Smith.

She is survived by her two children Ken (Debbie) Compton and Cindy Kelly; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers Marvin Morgan and Ronald (Janice) Morgan; and many nieces, nephews and beloved family members.

Barbara was a member of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church. She was a breast cancer survivor and she loved and cherished her family and friends. Ms. Barbara will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Barbara will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. A celebration of life will be the next day on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM, in the Haisten Chapel. The committal service will immediately follow on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA 30252.
