Mrs. Betty James Lohman, age 89, of McDonough, GA formerly of New Braunfels, TX, passed away peacefully in her home on May 6, 2015. Mrs. Lohman was born in Verden, OK, the daughter of the late Edna Myrtle Carter James and Thurman Bland James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Theodore Lohman; brothers, Joseph and Bernard James. Mrs. Lohman enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, needle work, making dolls, and baking. Survivors are her children, Sheri Meyers (John) of McDonough, Kenton Lohman (Mary Lou) of Jefferson, MD, and Randall Lohman (Casey) of Lee’s Summit, MO; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Raymond Lohman (Janice) of Kingwood, TX., several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Lohman will be on Monday, May 11, 2015 -11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Randall Lohman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10 – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow on Wednesday, May13, 2015 – at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
