Betty Jo Ray

Mrs. Betty Jo Ray, age 79 of McDonough, Georgia passed away September 7, 2014. She was born in Gainesville, Georgia, the youngest of seven children, to the late Marion James and Anna Belle Givens Rider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Lee Ray in the year, 2000. Betty worked in healthcare her entire life having retired from Dogwood Forest Assisted Living. Betty enjoyed watching cooking shows and cooking. Survivors include her children, Dan Simpson and his wife Toni of Tampa, Florida, Catherine Marie Simpson of McDonough, Georgia and Joseph P. Ray of McDonough, Georgia; grandchildren, Michael Simpson, Johnny Simpson, Bobbie Simpson, Bradley Howard Simpson and Brittney Lynn Hazard; great grandchildren, Hunter, Riley, Zachary, Elle, Avery, Joseph, Noah and Aaliyah; brother, H.T. Rider and his wife, Evelyn of Mobile, Alabama. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Riley will officiate.
