Cassie Collins

Mrs. Cassie Ree Counts Collins, age 99, passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 13, 1924 in Sylvania, Georgia to the late William and Geneva Counts. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Toby Collins, her son Buck Collins, grandson Robbie Johnson, sister Ruby Beard, and brothers John Willie, George, Garnett, Horace, T.W., and Henry Counts.

Cassie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and is leaving a legacy of love for her family. Her passion and devotion revolved around her faith, family, and friends.

Cassie is survived by her children Peggy Berry Kobes, Grace Eaton, Patsy (Garland) Blackwell, Virginia Cobb, Marie (Mike) Williamson, Chip (Vicki) Collins, and Sara (Eddie) Cowell, along with with 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253. Cassie's celebration of life will begin at 1:00 PM, officiated by Randy Hebbard, followed by a committal service at Stockbridge City Cemetery.
