Charles Andrew Baker

Mr. Charles “Charlie” Andrew Baker, age 66, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away March 19, 2016. Mr. Baker was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mamie Nalley Baker and Eddie Baker. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Baker. Mr. Baker enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, and drag racing at the Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday Night Drags with “CB Insulation Racing”. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and the Riverdale Masonic Lodge. Mr. Baker worked for 30 plus years with the Local Union 48 as a superintendent for several companies and was the owner of CB Insulation.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Connie Baker of Locust Grove; children, Connie Mason (Danny) of Locust Grove, and Charlene Carden (Matt) of Monticello; grandchildren, Jacob Mason, Austin and Alayna Carden; siblings, Mary Sargent of Morrow, Patsy Hall of Marietta, Herman Baker (Marie) of Griffin, Eddie James Baker (Carol) of Dacula; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Baker will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 beginning 1:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 1843 Peeksville Road in Locust Grove, with Pastor Terrell Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
