Charles Melvin Hines, age 88, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. Charles was born March 1, 1933 in Roanoke, VA to Walter Belk Hines and Fannie Prudence Dowdy. He was a proud U.S. Marine enlisted for 6 years and served during Korea. Charles was a supervisor for General Motors and retired after 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Hines, his son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Lauren) Hines of McDonough, son Drew Wellington Hines of Marietta, granddaughter, Haley Hines all of McDonough, GA. Nephew, David (Mary) Hines of Roanoke, VA, niece, Pam (Robert) Mores of Houston, TX and niece, Betty Ferguson. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the American Heart Association.
