

The Reverend Charles Huggins was born May 5, 1937 in Fulton County to Clinton and Ruby Huggins. He graduated from South Dekalb High School and then he served in the United States Army form 1956 until 1959, serving in Baumholder Germany. He retired as a plant supervisor form the City of Atlanta in 1987. Bro. Charles was also a retired bivocational pastor of over 45 years, he severed as lead pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Collage Park, Associate Pastor of Rock Cut Baptist Church in Conley, Associate Pastor of Teamon Baptist Church in Griffin and Senior Pastor of Tanners Baptist Church in Conley. He also taught at Atlanta Area Technical College.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Kathy Huggins; daughter Carol Martin; grandchildren Holly Oelsner, Joseph Huggins, Michael Robinson, Mandie Huggins and Katie Mills, 6 great-grand daughters and many lifelong friends. He is proceeded in death by his beloved son Charles “Joey” Huggins.

A visitation will be held at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia, 30253, on December 16, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park, located at 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, Georgia, 30253, on December 16, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm.
