Dan Harrison

Mr. Dan Harrison, age 91, of Morrow, GA passed away December 12, 2016. Mr. Harrison was born in Eastanollee, GA the son of the late Julia Helen Pulliam Harrison and William Clayton Harrison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ruth Purcell Harrison; great granddaughter, Julia Marie Gunter; and siblings, Dwain, Carl, Cohen, Terrell, Tommie and Joe Harrison. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Henry County where he served as a Deacon, Usher, and a Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Harrison was a mail carrier for 32 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and gardening. Survivors are his children, Gene Harrison (Marilyn) of Fayetteville, Connie Bladine (Dennis) of Stockbridge, and Phil Harrison of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, April Harrison Stevens (Don), Danny Harrison (Joni), Lisa Joy Noffsinger (Ryan), Cristie Gunter (Dwayne), Erin Harrison Ney (Jason), Clayton Harrison (Julia), Becky Bladine, Mary Harrison Wax (Weston); great grandchildren, Presley, Luke, Wrigley, Joshua, Abigail, Ava, Lydia, Manassie, Benjamin, Vivienne, Judah, Matthew, and Samuel; brother, Marvin Harrison (Minnie) of Eastanollee; sister-in-law, Betty Purcell Goolsby (Jack) of Carnesville; brother-in-law, Morris Purcell (Sara) of Florida; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 17, 2016 – from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Sunday, December 18, 2016 – 3:30 PM at Bible Baptist Church in Hampton. Interment will be on Monday, December 19, 2016 – 10:00 AM at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
