Daniel is survived by his wife Brenda Kadel; children Daniel Seth Kadel and Cynthia (Kenny) Evans; grandchildren Skyler, Danica, and Payten Evans; brother Jim (Sharon) Kadel; and many beloved family members and close friends.
Right from the start Dan had his dad’s sense of humor and his mother’s big heart. Growing up he spent most of his time playing outside with his brother and cousins. They loved playing games like, Trail Tag/Kick the Can, digging holes to China, or just simply building forts. Dan also had a talent for tinkering, even as a child, he would take clocks and things apart completely and put them back together again.
As he became an adult he went into the mechanical industry, working for Eastern Airlines. After Eastern Airlines folded he went to work for Carriage House working on Mercedes Benz. He always had a love for cars, loud engines, and music. Every weekend you could find him watching some kind of race or listening to some album while playing pool with old friends. He could tell you anything and everything about NASCAR or Formula 1, what car was what, who the driver was, or even the type of lug nut the pit crew used.
Dan had an endless list of talents, but he was best at loving his family. He loved spending his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, especially on the sandy beaches of the east coast or up in the Appalachian mountains. Dan was a tentative father, enjoying coaching his son’s youth baseball team, taking his daughter to the gym, or always playing a round of monopoly. However it was his granddaughters, that were his pride and joy. For them there were no limits, he was their number fan at the softball games, their personal chauffeur, he even enjoyed waking up at 6:00 AM just to bring them Chick-fil-A before school.
Whenever Dan was around, laughter was around. His love, wisdom, and sense of humor will live on. He will forever be missed by so many.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM in the Haisten chapel.
