

He graduated from Hapeville High School, Class of 1956. He was married to Cynthia Oswalt on March 3, 1957. They enjoyed 68 years, 11 months of marriage. He served in the United States Air Force for 14 months during the Berlin Crisis. He was a dedicated Meatcutter for the Kroger Co for 43 years, 9 months. David was a loyal member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Billie James Waddy and Michael Landers Waddy; also a great granddaughter, Riley Alexis Gilbert. Surviving in addition to his wife, Cynthia (Oswalt) Waddy are his daughters, Debra Rasnake (Don) of McDonough and Chantay Howard (Bobby) of Cartersville; Six grandchildren, Elizabeth Mussell (Jason), Heather Gilbert (Tim), David Rasnake (Amber), Alyssa Sitten (Bart), Jesse Howard (Megan Matla) and Emily Boonstra (Tom); seventeen great grandchildren; a niece and many nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, February 6 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Pkwy South, McDonough. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00pm.
Those who wish to remember David in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Our Daily Bread Ministries.
