Dennis Kevin Dunn, age 73, of Tucker, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born in St. Louis on September 30, 1949 to Joseph and Teresa Dunn. Dennis was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 48 years, Karen. Dennis was a very kind man. He had a gentle soul and would do whatever he could for anyone. He loved his family and his friends. He was a very active member of his church Saint John the Wonderworker, where he made many good friends and did a lot for the community. Dennis did work with the homeless as well as working in the penitentiary system where he helped to reform convicted felons and prepare them for their release back into the community. Dennis was the kind of man who would give a homeless man or woman all the money in his wallet and the shirt off of his back. That is how good he was! Just a quiet Samaritan. When Karen passed away in August, Dennis was lost without her. He and Bailey, his beloved companion, would spend evenings on his back deck missing her and if he was by himself calling his family and friends. He ultimately was wishing he was talking to Karen. Dennis took great pride in his military service and his time in the Coast Guard and always had a funny story to tell about his antics and absolutely his shenanigans. His three siblings were often the subject of his stories, some may say they might not have all been exactly 100% true, but that is what made them as funny as they were! Dennis liked to joke around a lot but he had a heart full of love. He will be dearly missed by all. May God bless Dennis and may he Rest In Peace. Dennis is survived by his brothers, Jim (Theresa) Dunn of McDonough and Joe Dunn of Panama City, FL and one sister Sherry Woodworth (Sam Sellers) of Murrells Inlet, SC and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA.
