Mr. Donald James Sullivan

Mr. Donald James Sullivan, age 94, of McDonough, GA passed away September 27, 2018. Mr. Sullivan was born in Pittsburg, PA the son of the late Ruth Ellen Jones Sullivan and James Dalton Sullivan. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Louise Jones Sullivan; daughter, Kerry Louise Sullivan Belcher; brothers, James Dalton, Russell Clyde and Clyde Russell Sullivan. He served his country in the US Army Air Corps and was a proud WWII veteran. Mr. Sullivan retired from United Airlines with 35 years of service and lived to enjoy 40 years of retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, woodworking, computers, crossword puzzles, reading, bird watching, recycling, traveling and going on cruises. He is survived by his children, Donald James (Debbie) Sullivan Jr. of Bennett, CO, Colleen Sullivan (Jerry) Austin of McDonough, Patrick Thomas (Vickie) Sullivan of Bedford, TX, Lori Sullivan (Charlie) Brockett of Euless, TX, Michael O (Robyn) Sullivan of Stockbridge; 13 loving grandchildren, Kathryn, Stephanie, Jay, Kelly, Shawn, Shannon, Tyler, Craig, Michelle, Matt, Benjamin, Paige, and Loren; 8 wonderful great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or The Promise Place in Fayetteville, GA.
