Elmer Joe Rose, born September 3rd, 1937, in Wichita Kansas died peacefully at his home in McDonough GA on April 22nd, 2025, at the age of 87. He was a devoted husband to Janet and loving father to Jackie Owen and Jennifer Wiley, as well son-law Darrell Wiley (who he thought of as a son).
He is preceded by his mother Dorothy Patton, father Elmer Rose, brother Daryl Rose, and daughter Julie Rose.
He is survived by his wife Janet, brother Glenn, sister-in-law Dianna, sister Corlene, daughters Jackie and Jennifer, son-in-law Darrell, grandchildren Jesse, Kelsey, Collin, and Kyle as well as 6 great grandchildren.
He was proud of his 20-year career in the Navy and 20 years in the post-office but wasn't done yet. He worked another 5 years at his favorite Home Depot. A memorial service will be held for the immediate family on April 30th at Haisten.
