Evelyn Ophelia Bailey

Mrs. Evelyn Bailey, 82 of McDonough passed away April 30, 2021. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia on May 28, 1938 to the late Walter and Viola Preston. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her son, Donnie Bailey. She loved singing gospel music and enjoyed card games, dominoes and Yahtzee. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband of 66 years and 1 day, Fred Bailey, her children Debbie Springer of McDonough and Keith (Lisa) Bailey of Springfield, Missouri. Grandchildren, Dustin (Amy) Bailey, Lauren (JT) Albright, Heather Bailey, Lynn Cook, Chris Bailey, Tori (Chris) Simmons and Slate (Andrea) Nichols. Ten great grandchildren, and two brothers, Jack Preston of Alabama and Jim Preston of Oklahoma. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm in our chapel. Interment will be held at Fairview Memorial Park in Stockbridge, Georgia.
