Everette "Woodstock" Nathaniel Cole Jr.

Mr. Everette Cole, Jr., 74 of Locust Grove passed away February 15, 2020. He was born in Johnson City, TN on March 21, 1945 to the late Everette and Della Cole. Mr. Cole was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Laws. He retired from ABF Freight where he was known as "Woodstock". Mr. Cole was a car guy and an avid fan of both the Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of Rock Springs Church and a Teamsters Local #728 member. Mr. Cole is survived by his children, Everette Nathaniel Cole, III (Jamie) of McDonough, Kevin (Karen) Cole of Portland, TN and Karin Cole Strickland of Johnson City, TN. Eight grandchildren, Krystin Gilstrap, Devin Cole, Bethany Barnett, Tyler Strickland, Owen Cole, Evan Cole, Gracie Cole and Savannah Cole. One sister Phyllis Riddle of Johnson City, TN and one brother Charlie (Debbie) Cole of Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm - 2:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Pastor Benny Tate will officiate the funeral service on Saturday at 2:00pm in our chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
