Flora "Norma" Jean Buckner

Mrs. Flora Jean “Norma” Buckner, age 82 of Jackson, Georgia passed away March 12, 2019. She was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Fletcher F. and Cleo Smoke Trimm. Norma was of the Baptist faith and owned Norma’s Hair Salon for ten years. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially her eldest son, Johnny. Survivors include her husband of nearly 64 years, John W. Buckner, Sr.; children, John W. Buckner, Jr. of McDonough, James Edward (Rhonda) Buckner of Jonesboro, Norman Lee (Trish) Buckner of McDonough and Kenneth Richard Buckner of Jackson; grandchildren, Kimberly Lia (Paul) Nichol, Johnathan Rainwater, Jessica Rainwater and Amber Buckner; great grandchildren, Eli Nichol, Andrew, Landon, Layton, Aubrey and Emma Rainwater, Ava Rainwater-Watts and Lindsey Young. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 – 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
