Mardelle Malcom, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on December 24, 2017. She was born in East Point, Georgia to the late Homer and Lila Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy William Malcom, daughter, Linda Lycett, and sister, Sara Puckett. Mardelle was retired from the Clayton County Board of Education Food Service. She was dedicated to her family and lovingly called GiGi by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Diane West, Judy Johnston, and George Malcom, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hampton First Baptist Church. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service beginning at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Kirby Smart Family Foundation, 196 Alps Road, Suite 2-184, Athens, Georgia 30606 in memory of Mardelle.
