Frances "Maw Maw" Tapley, 91 passed away on February 27, 2026 at her home in McDonough. She was born in Fayetteville on October 15, 1934 to the late Eardley and Norean Norton. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Marion Tapley and siblings, Josephine Collier, Earl "Bug" Norton, Helen Upchurch and half-brother, Harvey Norton. Frances was raised in Stockbridge until she moved to Ola with James. Maw Maw loved flowers, sewing and taking care of kids. She retired from Henry General after 18 years. Frances is survived by her children, James (Vickie) Tapley, Robert (Theresa) Tapley, Billy (Felicia) Tapley and Kathy (Lynn) Hancock, grandchildren: Casey, Amy, Farrah, Shelly, Jason, Joey, Billy, Jennifer and Jessica. Her legacy extends to her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will greet friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm at Stockbridge City Cemetery.
