Mr. Fredrick Hampton Anthony, age 86, of Morrow, GA passed away February 10, 2016. Mr. Anthony was born in Covington, GA the son of the late Lucie Mae Crawford Anthony and Cyrus Adell Anthony; he was also preceded in death by a brother, Lanier Anthony; sisters, Evelyn Freeman and Emma Riley. Mr. Anthony retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Conductor with 38 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, wood working, fishing, baseball and watching black and white western movies. Survivors are his loving wife of 61 plus years, Barbara “Bobbie” Anthony of Morrow; children, Deborah Upchurch (Tony) of McDonough and Scott Anthony (Susan) of Yorba Linda, CA; grandchildren, Heather Powner (Mitchell) of Atlanta, Jarred Upchurch of McDonough, Brian Anthony of Orlando, FL, and Kevin Anthony of Yorba Linda, CA; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Anthony will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 – 1:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Riley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.
