That time we were in Walmart and you didn’t know Quillan had surgery on his arches so you swore me down I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about…but it was you who had no idea I had just spoken to him the day before and he was still IN the hospital; then gon’ tell me you gon’ call him like I’m supposed to back down…but I said wait, let me get my camera ready before you do, cause I already knew what was about to happen 🤣😭

I’m thankful for the time we had but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t give anything for more…

Time truly does fly, it seems like not that long ago that my heart was shattered and here it is a year has passed and I’m no more healed than a year ago…but God. Words haven’t been invented to express the heartbreak that losing you has caused and with each day I pray for a little more comfort, a little more strength and a little more healing in the wake of a loss that has broken a whole lot of people. I’m missing you now Gabe no less than the day I last laid eyes on you but still not as much as I’ll miss you with each day that passes…I know you’re “touching clouds”…Big Facts!  Life hit me hard with this one i wanted to read you this at your funeral but I couldn’t. My brother since you passed you been on my mind heavy. You was my brother I should of checked on your more often.  I remember we would get on the phone and say “we made it through another week of life.” Don’t know why I guess because of all the stuff that was going on in the world. 

But I’ll check on your family from time to time. We going miss you we had so many good memories and I Love you 4 life rest easy. 

I only knew Gabe a relatively short period of time but it changed the trajectory of my life. He encouraged me to pursue a relationship with Christ. I always felt taken care off and protected when we were together. I could see the evidence of his incredible up bringing. 

He was patient with me as I discovered my love for Christ and gently redirected me when I got off course. 
I will never forget the love and care he gave me during a transformative time in my life. 

I started today wanting to reach out to him after not speaking for a few years. I wanted to encourage him in Christ and tell him about my life now. I just wanted to see him and see he was doing okay and on the right path. 

Idk if this heartbreak will ever heal. I love you Gabey Cakes 💕💙  I’ll see you in glory

Gabe, I will always remember your smile and your hugs you would give me everyday we worked together....all the jokes we made together, all the conversations we had about life..didn't know yours would end so soon 😢😢😢love 💘you Gabe!!!!

Words can’t explain how I feel right now. Gabe, you will surely be missed! You and your brothers watched my sisters and I grow up in the church and having to let go is the hardest! You were the most genuine and kind-hearted person I’ve ever met. I will forever love you so much Gabe! -Love your God sis ❤️

Personally, I didn't have the honor to meet Gabe face to face, but we spoke several times via phone. He was always up beat, respectful, energetic and displayed a warm heart. I'm thankful for the moments we shared via phone and I'm grateful for the positive impact that he made on my brother, Lennie Williams' Family! Thanks, Gabe for teaching my nephews how to play the drums while at church! We'll ALWAYS Love you and cherish the moments sent with you!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾  We're praying for the family and friends! 

I will never be able to find a word to express how much I will miss you. Your humbleness, gentleness & love was a major impact on me & my family. The plans we had for the youth I will carry it on in Jesus name brother. Until we meet again brother. You will forever be in my heart. To the family we will make it through this in Jesus name. We will do exactly what Gabriel would want us to do. Keep Pushing!!!!!

So sad to hear of Gabe’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May you find peace and comfort in knowing he touched the hearts of many who will miss him dearly.  God bless you.

I’m honored to have been blessed to have Gabe in my classroom.  He brought joy to all he was around and his smile was contagious.  I saved his football scale factor project for years and he was so excited to see me still using it years later! My condolences to his parents, family, and classmates/friends. “Jay you got me?” Are the words you would say to me in the backfield during games. And i would respond with “yeah i gotcha bro.” And i plan to keep you, keep you close by and dear to my heart. You just make sure you save some space in the backfield for me up there bro i cant wait to throw you some more passes and watch you run past through and around people. Gabe will be missed at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. I had the pleasure of being his manager for a number of years. This was truly unbelievable and hard to take, but we as his work family are praying for his immediate family that God's Grace and Mercy keep you during this time of loss. Rest on my young brother know we love you and our lives are better because God allowed us to have crossed paths and impact all our lives. 
Till we see each other again brother on the other side of Jordan.
