Mrs. Gail Barnes Norman, age 58 of McDonough, Georgia passed away April 30, 2014. She was born in Broxton, Georgia to the late Alfred and Mattie Whittle Barnes. Gail was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and was employed with Southern Gastroenterology Specialists. She enjoyed spending time being “GiGi” to her grandson, Hampton. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Douglas Wayne Norman of McDonough; son, Jonathan (Hannah) Norman of Jackson; grandson, Hampton Norman; siblings, Elaine (George) Durden of Byron, Bobby (Pam) Barnes of Broxton, Judy (Steve) Fannon of Warner Robins and Pam (Rex) Smith of Ambrose; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Terrell Hopkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in memory of Gail.
