George "John" Cromer, age 88 passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. Mr. Cromer, John, Pawpaw, Preacher or Red, he was a man of many names, but his character was unchanging. He stood firm in his beliefs and was a man of his word.

Mr. Cromer was a man of 2nd chances. He opened his home to many family and friends. Staying true to his beliefs he would welcome them and love them no matter the situation.
He was a farmer who loved buying and selling livestock. He was affectionately known as Preacher at livestock auctions throughout the state of Georgia. In recent years his Friday nights were spent in Barnesville at Buggy Town Auction with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His greatest love was for his wife of 60 years Lucile, and he never stopped missing her after her passing. John's children; Robert Cromer, Cynthia Lynam (Joey Lynam), Derron Cromer (Jennie Cromer) and Matthew Cromer find their greatest comfort in knowing that John and Lucile are not only reunited with each other in Heaven but are joined by daughters Lynn Freeman and Sheila Watson.
