Mr. Gerald Walton Overstreet Jr., “Jerry”, age 60, of McDonough, Ga passed away June 8, 2014. Jerry was born in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Velma Maxine Steiger Overstreet and Gerald Walton Overstreet Sr. He was a manager with NAPA/Genuine Parts Company and he served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, and NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathie Gunter Overstreet of McDonough; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bud Miller of Walnut Grove; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Karen Overstreet of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Jerry will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 –4:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Riley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8:00 PM.
