

Greg is survived by his husband, Roger Custin of Stockbridge, his father Wayne T. Horton of Vidalia, sisters, Vickey Horton Wammock and her husband Tripp Wammock of Lyons, GA, Sue Maybin of Dublin, GA, Yvonne Corona of Vista, CA, his sister-in-law Annette Custin Cruz and her husband Andres Cruz; several nieces and nephews, Denton Tapley, Carston Tapley, Michele and Jeff Johnson, Mandi and Rodney Soles, Michael and Kelly Maybin and Ben and Michelle Maybin; also, cousins Tammy Johnson, Lesa Coffield and Terri Phillips, Kelly Horton and several other cousins and family.
Greg was an artist, woodworker, and owner of BarnBeautiful, a handcrafted gift store in Stockbridge, Georgia. He reclaimed old barns to repurpose the materials into beautiful furnishings, furniture, and works of art. BarnBeautiful takes pictures and records the history of each barn and numbers each finished piece so it can be traced back to its origin. BarnBeautiful also has a gallery featuring the handcrafted work of over 20 talented local artists and artisans. Greg was a founding member of the Henry County Arts Consortium and former board member of the City of Stockbridge Main Street Advisory Board. Greg graduated with an Engineering degree from Southern Tech College in Georgia. He began his career in apparel manufacturing including overseas work alongside his father at Oxford Industries before starting BarnBeautiful in 2009.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Following services a reception will be held at BarnBeautiful, 108 MLK Sr Heritage Trail Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, at 1:00pm.
