Helen T Daniel

Mrs. Helen T. Daniel, age 77, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on September 26, 2016 in her home on Jackson Lake. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Wilbur and Melba Burke Tarkington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a twin brother and her Grandmother Burke. Helen contributed to the education of future generations for the Henry County Board of Education for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Helen loved the outdoors and was an ALTA tennis champion. She was a senior scuba diving instructor, an avid gardener, painter, cook, and Queen of the Slots. Some of her hobbies included playing card games, catering, and sewing. She also loved to thrift shop and she never saw anything she didn’t need. Helen was known for many things, but her greatest pride was being a wife, a mother, and a “Granmar”. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronnie Daniel; children, Julie (Jimmy) Epperson, Lori (David) Fowler, and Clifford (Christy) Daniel; grandchildren, Jody (Brian) Carver, Jenifer Hardy, Cambrie Epperson, Kaylee Daniel, Courtney Daniel, Kennedy Daniel, Cassidy Daniel, and Emeili Fowler; great-grandchildren, Camden and Casten Carver; sisters, Patsy Klingler and Laverne Newman; brother in law, Gary Daniel; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A service to honor Helen’s life will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 beginning 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM and after the service from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
