Henry Clyde McRae

Mr. Henry Clyde McRae, age 86 of Hampton, Georgia passed away October 8, 2016. Clyde was born in Clio, Alabama to the late Simon B. and Sarah Barbaree McRae. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Margaret Ketchum and a brother, Phil McRae. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired after 42 years with Norfolk Southern. He was a member of Pea River Presbyterian Church and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed gardening and watching trains. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jo Ann Turner McRae; children, Alan McRae, Carol Morgan, Lynda (Sonny) Copelan, Roger (Betty Ann) Smallwood, Vickie (Billy) Cartwright, Marcia (Tony) Taylor; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sister, Martha Jo Williams. A visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - 2:00 pm CST at Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
