As my heart was breaking at the news of Jackie’s passing, I had peace that I was one of the luckiest people I know.  I flashed back through decades of memories that brought a smile.  If you were loved by Jackie you had an eternal friend that would always be there for you.  She was my Mother’s Best Friend and unrelenting protector.  Mother could always count on Jackie to drop everything and be there for her, just as my Mother would do for her.  I so admired Jackie's commitment and unconditional love – what a role model! 
 
She was the consummate fighter that took her knocks and came back with all she had.  She faced health issues in her later years but faced each one with resolve and found a way to endure – my Bounce Back Jackie.  

As a youngster I spent summers with my grandfather Warren Rainer in Cove.  I loved Sundays after church when we would all meet at the Cossatot River.  Jackie and I would stop and get a watermelon then drive to the swimming hole just outside of Vandervoort.  I so enjoyed her company and remember laughing a lot.  She also was able to help me learn how to be still, which was no easy task.  And when all the sisters were together with Verbie it was nonstop laughter.  I have many other memories that I love to mull over. 
 
Being my Mother’s protector, she has gone ahead to get things ready and will be the first one to greet her with open arms.
My life is better for knowing and being loved by Jackie.  She also brought Merle into my life, for which I will always be grateful – Love You Merle.  

I love my Aunt dearly; she is my Adorable!  Besides her cream gravy was the best!


Becky , Tom and family,  I have many good memories of Jackie growing up and going to visit Cove. Bev and all of us loved Jackie always.   Our thoughts are with you all. Heaven got a good one !

I was so blessed to have met Jackie and  Walter (Merle) .  They were a big part of my life after her sister moved in with us.  She was in my heart the minute I met her.  I will miss her dearly but I will cherish the kindness, sweetness, and caring she showed me.  She  was one of the strongest women I  have known and I have many strong women in my life.  I love you Merle and know that her light will be with you always.

I was about 12 or 13 sitting in the classroom when the Principal opened the door and advised that she had a new pupil. A little blonde, blue eyed girl with an aviator cap stood by him and I fell in love. 
We  went on our separate ways until my first wife died  and a year later I learned she was getting a divorce. I contacted her and we had a very happy marriage for about 48 years. I miss her so much!

We will miss you at breakfast here at the Palms.  It just won't be the same without you.  My prayers are with Walt in the loss of his beautiful, loving, kind, (a million more things) wife.

We were so blessed to know Jackie. She was a kind, gentle and loving, elegant lady. We will miss her so much at our family gatherings.  Prayers to all the family 



I will miss your beautiful smile and kind spirit. Rest In Peace my friend. I feel blessed to have known you.
