James Carl Davies

Mr. James Carl Davies, 84 of Temple, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. He was born on Wednesday, December 11, 1935 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Joseph and Onie Davies. Mr. Davies was also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Campbell, a grandson, Bubba Akins, brothers, Charles, William, Harold, Ernest, Richard, Mike and Frank Davies and a sister Mary Autrey. He worked for General Motors for many years and owned Davies Construction for 40 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and Alabama football. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna Annette Mills Davies, children, Rae McHugh of Florida, Elaine (Mark) Linser of Cleveland, Georgia, Jimmie Davies of Griffin, Michele Mullins of Hampton, Christine (Wesley) Hallman and Connie (Charles) Slappey of Temple. Jim also has 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one sister Patricia Cox, two brothers, Jerome (Velma) Davies and Robert Davies, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Cameron Shiflett will officiate a graveside service for Mr. Davies at 2:00pm, also on Monday, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
