Mr. James Alvin Fairchild, age 71 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 28, 2016. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Jessie James and Lillie May Johnson Fairchild. He was preceded in death by four siblings and a granddaughter, Mechele Delekto. Jimmy retired from the City of Atlanta, Department of Aviation. He was a skilled woodworker, avid gardener and loved his cats. Survivors include his children, Juanita (Joe) Delekto of Pembroke Pines, FL, Karen (Philip Rodgers) Fairchild of Summerville, SC, Anthony (Jeannie) Fairchild of St. George, SC; grandchildren, Sjaan Hydrick of Goose Creek, SC, Sarah Delekto of Pembroke Pines, FL, Gavin Rodgers of Summerville, SC; great granddaughter, Layla Delekto; sister, Margie Rubey of Charleston, SC.
