Jerry L. Bridges, Sr. age 72 of Locust Grove passed away September 10, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Jerry was retired form Mack Trucks after 25 years of service. He is survived by wife of 52 years, Mary Bridges of Locust Grove; son and daughter in law, Jerry Bridges, Jr. and Teresa Ricketts of Locust Grove; daughter and son in law, Theresa Head and Art Blakey of Locust Grove; son, Billy Bridges of Locust Grove, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Royce and Lavonne Bridges of Thomson; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Heritage Baptist Church with Pastor Terrell Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in Jackson City Cemetery.
