Mrs. Jessica Leighanne Searcy, age 37 of McDonough, Georgia passed away April 24, 2020. She was born in Riverdale, Georgia to Teresa Smith Lark and the late James Olin Lark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Kate Searcy. Jessica graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 2001. She then graduated with an Associate's Degree from Gordon College and had nearly completed her Bachelor's Degree at Mercer University. Ever since high school, Jessica worked teaching pre-K to children that she absolutely adored. Her most recent teaching position was at Cedars Preschool. where she loved her students and the colleagues whom with she shared this amazing opportunity. She loved planning events for her family and friends, crafting, singing, dancing, watching Disney movies and Real Housewives. She attended Trinity Worship Center. Survivors include her husband, Chan Searcy; children, Brooke Toney, Makensie Toney and Chandler Searcy; mother and step father, Teresa and Terry Simpson; grandparents, Doug and Mary Jo Smith; sister, April Lark; brother, Robbie Lark and his wife, Beth. In lieu of flowers, Contributions are asked to be made to Kids at Heart - Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in memory of Jessica. Private services will be held.
