Joe Ann Edwards, age 84, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia to the late DeWitt and Annie Laura Walker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Connie Kirby.
Joe Ann is survived by her husband of 63 years Johnny Edwards; her two children Michael (Evie) Edwards and Kathy (Kenny) DeFore; as well as many beloved family members.
Ms. Edwards was a devoted christian and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Hampton. She taught Sunday school class for ladies called the homemaker class. She loved the Lord and she loved her family.
A visitation for Joe Ann will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 2957 Mt Carmel Rd, Hampton, Georgia. A celebration will be Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Church sanctuary. An interment will immediately follow Monday, August 14, 2023 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, Georgia 30297.
