Joyce Irene Preston

Joyce Irene Preston, 87 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was born in Ringgold, Georgia on September 7, 1933 to the late Daniel Anderson Chapman and Fairy Mable Williams. Joyce is also preceded in death by her husband Grover Dan Preston and their son, Reggie Preston. She loved her children and grandchildren, dressing to the "T" and playing cards. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and shopping. Joyce had a servant's heart and loved doing for others and having family gatherings. She worked for Sears for many years and was member at Bethany Baptist Church and very active in "The Gleamers" Sunday School Class. Mrs. Preston is survived by her children, Randy (Linda) Preston of Fithian, Illinois and Robby (Billie) Preston of Griffin, Georgia. Grandchildren, Kristy (Brian) Hemmingway, Kerry (Eric) Chavez, Jack (Ronna) Preston, Paul (Carrie) Preston, Travis Preston, Nick (Dania) Preston and Bailee Donald. She also has eleven great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Georgia.
