Linda Carole Williams, age 80, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lonzo and Virginia Morgan. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Emory Williams, son Richard Shirley, step-son Gary Williams, and niece Suzanne Fox.
Ms. Williams is survived by her daughter Sonya (Dennis) Queen; step-children Dale (Aaron) Faulkner and Deborah (George) Hobel; grandson Russell Shirley; step-grandchildren Mary Catherine Faulkner, Emory J. Hobel, and Kaleb Hobel; siblings Lisa Lunsford and Dennis (Kathy) Morgan; nephew Cody Lunsford; nieces Nikki McQueen, Amy Nichols, and Ashley Massey; and several cousins, friends, and beloved family members.
Carole was an artist who specialized in oil paintings and spiritual poetry. She enjoyed decorating and was a very crafty individual. She loved her friends from grade school and high school. They would even have periodic gatherings to keep in touch. She was a devoted member of the County-Line Congregational Christian Church and did a lot throughout the years to show her support within her church community. Carole was a strong and giving person, a great example of a good Christian woman. She endured many trials in her life but she always got back on her feet and loved others. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by many.
A visitation for Linda will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at County-Line Congregational Christian Church, 3913 Jonesboro Rd, Hampton, GA, and a celebration of life Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM. A committal service will immediately follow on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at County-Line Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.
