Margaret Sue Peterson

Mrs. Margaret Sue Peterson, age 83 of McDonough, Georgia passed away March 15, 2016. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late William Henderson and Margaret Gertrude Beggs Beard. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eugena Lynn Awtrey and a brother, Douglas H. Beard. She was a graduate of Brown High School and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Edwyn Dale Peterson, Sr.; children, Karin S. (Bill) Salter of Columbia, SC, Edwyn D. (Rubie) Peterson, Jr. of the Philippines, Virginia L. (Jack) Eison of Morrow; brother, William T. (Elizabeth) Beard of Austell; sister, Virginia G. Alexander of Marietta; grandchildren, Jason Eison of San Diego, CA, Ryan (Candice) Eison of Jackson, Findlay (Rebecca) Salter of Columbia, SC, Chatham Salter of Charleston, SC, Cooper Salter of Charleston, SC, Dale G. Peterson of Raleigh, NC, Jeremy T. Peterson of Goldsboro, NC, Zachary Q. Awtrey of Whittier, NC, Taylor Lea Awtrey of Whittier, NC, Michael T. Awtrey of Whittier, NC; great grandchildren, Alexandria Marie Eison, Avery Leann Eison and Daylen Marie Eison. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
