Michele Krilla Brannon

October 30, 1962 – February 19, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michele Krilla Brannon, lovingly known as "Mimi," of Locust Grove, GA. She departed this life on February 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Michele was born in October of 1962 in Fort Bragg, NC to Michael Krilla and Rachel Kaleiwahea Krilla.

Michele was a devoted mother to Leslie (Jeremy) Dickson and Jeffery (Melissa) Jarrard and a cherished presence in the lives of her stepchildren: Jennifer (Travis) Lynch, Kristin Comer, Clayton Brannon and Jacob Brannon. But above all, her greatest joy was being "Mimi" to her ten beloved grandbabies: Brennen, Tori, Lucas, Makenzie, Nate, Ava, Tanner, Logan, Vivian, and Lennon. Watching them grow and supporting them in the sports they loved brought her endless happiness. Though she is no longer with us, her love, strength, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She found peace in the outdoors, whether working in her yard, hunting with Papa, or relaxing at the beach—her favorite place. Michele had a heart as big as the sky and a warmth that welcomed everyone. She was a truly amazing person, and those fortunate enough to know her were blessed by her kindness and love.

Michele was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Brannon, who passed away on January 2, 2025; her parents, Michael and Rachel Krilla; her brothers, Larry Krilla, Robert Krilla, Dennis Krilla, and Paul Krilla; her dear aunt, Margarete Neese; and her stepson Jacob Brannon.

Michele is survived by her brothers and sisters: Richard Krilla, Cathie Hart, Rosemary (David) Sigler, Steve Krilla, Patrick Krilla, and Raeliene (Ken) Smith, sisters-in-law: Lisa (Mark) Sexton and Jenny (Bruce) Sweatt, along with many nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and warmth she brought into their lives.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00- 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. A celebration of Michele’s life will be held at a later date.
