So sorry to hear about the passing of  Mitchell.  Even though  I haven't  seen him in years .  I have fond memories  of him as a child.  Our families  spent many vacations  together  . Memories that I'll never forget.  Rest in peace Mitchell. 

Mitch was such a Godly man and we never saw him without a smile.  He will truly be missed, but now walking the streets of gold.  Prayers for Lisa and family.

I work for Dr. J Rich Robinson Family Dentistry. I have known the family for 28 years.  I have always enjoyed seeing each and every one of them over the years. Not one time did ever see Mitch not with a smile on his face. His attitude was always so upbeat. I know his faith was a big factor in this.  I thought about him often because 3 1/2 years ago my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and we would be in the treatment room with Mitch and Lisa getting chemotherapy.  But again, always smiling...
He will truly be missed and my heart breaks for Lisa and the family.  May God bless you all and know that he is whole and walking the streets of glory smiling down on you.

I knew Mr. Mitch from Shiloh Christian Academy. He was a very special man that everyone admired. He was kind, generous, helpful and friendly. I will be praying for his family. He will be missed.

I remember one of my first days working at the church meeting Mitch. He was working on some cables there and he introduced himself and was very friendly. I saw him several times that week there and honestly thought he was an employee of the church as a maintenance man, but soon found out that he just had an incredible servants heart. I am thankful for the many times I got to serve along side with him. He will be missed, but I am thankful I know where he’s going. 

Mitch was an awesome servant of our Lord.   What an example he left for the people who knew him.  Our prayers and thoughts are with Lisa and family.

Mitchell is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lisa Mayo, children Clayton (Kelli) Mayo of Stockbridge, Amy (Joe) Mitchum of Statesboro, Lindsey (Cole) Lomax of Jackson. Six grandchildren, Abigail, Matthew, Sara, Bradley, Colton and Levi. Along with his parents, Mr. Mayo is also survived by his sister, Esther (Ron) Dyer of Chattanooga and a brother Rick (Rae) Mayo of Wimauma, FL. Several nieces and nephews.
