

Odis Burnett Horton was born on March 30,1939 in Hope Hull, Alabama. She was the daughter of Daisy M. Bell and Johnny Bibb Jr. who preceded her in death. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 18 where she spent many years raising her family. She later received her nursing degree before relocating to Riverdale, GA.
After over 25 long years, she retired as a visiting nurse in the home health care industry. Odis was loved and admired by everyone she came in contact with especially her patients and coworkers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, dancing, sewing, music, and having her morning coffee. Her laugh was contagious and her smile would brighten up the darkest room.
She leaves to mourn her only sibling and sister Gladys Lias and brother in law Malcolm Lias of New York; her three daughters, Carla Horton of Rex GA, Sonia Huff of McDonough, GA, and Regina Logan of McDonough, GA, and her only son Kiaton Taylor of McDonough, GA; nine grandchildren, Colander Horton, Earl King, Felecia Jester (husband Douglas Jester), Willie Edwards (wife Christina Tyshaun Edwards), Neelon Williams, Latonya Kirkland, Deonte Edwards, Kyla Taylor, and Jada Logan; 21 great grandchildren; one nephew, Malcolm Lias Jr. of California and one niece Markell Patton of Virginia; and a host of other family and friends.
