Patricia Wilkie Hamilton

She was born Patricia Jane Wilkie in Manchester, Connecticut on October 16th, 1929 to Frank J. Wilkie and Irene J. Wilkie. Pat grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated from Moravian College for Women in 1949 with a degree in economics. She married Ercell Century Hamilton Jr. upon his graduation from West Point Military Academy in June, 1952.

Pat was a loving mother and devoted wife. During her many moves with her Air Force family, Pat ways kept her family first but excelled in volunteer work and enjoyed a successful real estate career in both in Florida and Maryland. She moved to Locust Grove in 2005 with her husband Col. EC Hamilton Jr. (RET) who passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her sons Steven M. Hamilton and his wife Joyce, and David S. Hamilton and wife Melissa C. Hamilton. Pat has five grandchildren; Nick Babin, Chris Hamilton, Reed Hamilton, Andrea Hamilton, and Blake Hamilton and two great grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, Pat will be cremated and interred with her husband of 55 years at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.

There will be a celebration of Pat’s life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pat’s honor to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
