Mr. Raymond Lee Hopkins, age 85 of Jackson, Georgia passed away March 22, 2015. He was born in Bremen, Georgia to the late Harvey and Pearl Anglin Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Phillips Hopkins and siblings, Leonard Hopkins and Bertha Mashburn. Raymond was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and gardening. He had been in sales his working career. Survivors include his wife, Sara Waites Hopkins of Jackson; son, Stephen (Caroline) Hopkins of Savannah; step sons, Mark (Leslie) Waites of Jackson, Todd (Yvonne) Waites of Conyers; grandchildren, Whitney (Douglas) Appenfelder of Cumming, Ashley (Joseph) Cetti of Savannah, Hillary (Christopher) Hull of Savannah, Anna and Lexie Waites; great grandchildren, Kayley, Garrett, Jac, Miller, Ivy, Parker and Caroline; sister, Vera Hopkins of Jackson. Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Kennedy officiating.
