Richard Hugh Deaton Jr.

Richard Hugh Deaton Jr., age 61, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Richard Hugh Deaton Sr. and the late Vennice Price Deaton. In addition to his mother Richard is preceded in death by his brother Martin Price Deaton and his sister Susan Denise Deaton.

Mr. Deaton is survived by his wife Angela Deaton; children Nicholas (Mariah) Deaton, Kathryn (Mikey) Hammond, amd Jacquelyn (Cody) Brown; grandchildren Luke Thompson and Grayson Thompson; sister Melissa (Timothy) Justice and sister in-law Sandra (Greg) Simpson; and many beloved family members.

Richy loved hunting and fishing, if there was a pothole in the road full of water he could catch a fish out of it. He enjoyed poker and was a great card player. He was an excellent father and grandfather. He was very excited to meet his upcoming granddaughter. He never had a bad thing to say to anyone or about anyone, he got along with everybody. He will be greatly missed not only by his family but also by his friends and neighbors.

A visitation for Richard will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253.
