Richard Wesley Harris, age 70, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 24, 1951. He was preceded in death by his father David Harris, Sr., his mother Margaret Lindsey Harris and his brother David Harris, Jr. Richard went into the Marine Corps right after high school and was a Vietnam veteran. Rick loved music and played in a band in Florida. He loved the mountains and always wanted to go to the smoky mountains on vacation. He loved to go fishing any chance he got and loved working on anything that had a motor. He worked on boat engines for most of his career. Mr. Harris is survived by wife of 50 years, Debra Ellett Harris, his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Chuck Croft. Four brother-in-laws, four nephews, three nieces, three uncles and two aunts. A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00pm on February 9, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia.
