Richard Franklin McWhorter

Richard Franklin McWhorter (Mac), age 93, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, loving great grandfather, and a man whose greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

Richard lived his life devoted to provision for and time with his family. Later in life, he found great happiness in his days at the gym, chats with neighbors, his church family, and dance tunes.

Richard is survived by his daughter Lisa Glover; his cherished grandchildren, Julia Glover; Chloe Foster (William); and his great grandson Fuller.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Haisten Funeral Home, 1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA. Visitation will begin at 1pm and the Memorial service will begin at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faithful Hearts Life Group at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, McDonough, GA 30253.

Richard will be remembered for his smiles, presence, tender love for his family, and his admiration for up-beat music.

The family will gather afterwards for private burial.

His roots threaded firm in the ground where he stood.

Branches opened wide providing safety for those nearby.

Dancing to tunes of the leaves in the breeze.
