Ronald Eugene Hickman, Sr., age 69, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Heaven has gained a wonderful husband, dad, pop, brother, uncle, friend and Tennessee Volunteer fan. Ronnie was born in Knoxville, TN on February 8, 1952 to the late Edna Louise Ball and Charles Theodore Hickman. Also, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Daniels and Peggy James and his brothers, Junior and Kenny Boggess. In 1968, he moved to Atlanta, GA where he met the love of his life Shelia Denise Greer. On November 17, 1971 they were married. Ronnie and Shelia were blessed with two children, Ronnie Jr. and Tonya. Ronnie was employed by Union Camp for 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar, his dog Chappy and Tennessee football. But his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shelia, his loving son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Jana Hickman, his loving daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Jason Renfroe. Grandchildren, Cory, Ryan, Emily, Katelyn, Colton and Austin Hickman and Chase and Knox Renfroe. One great grandson, Corbin Hickman, brothers and sisters, Bobby Sellers, Susan McWherter, Homer Boggess, Judy Webb and Barbara Sue Keys. Numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Funeral Service will be held in our chapel at 11:00am on Friday, October 1, 2021. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery in Hampton.
