Mrs. Susan Elliott Sanchez, age 61 of Griffin, Georgia passed away December 31, 2016. She was born in Locust Grove, Georgia to the late Wayman Melvin Sweatt and Anne Elliott Lyle. She was preceded in death by brothers, John T. Lyle and Jeffrey Lewis Lyle. Susan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orchard Hill. She enjoyed time with her family, crocheting and knitting. Survivors include her husband, Keko Sanchez; children, Barry (Linda) Hobby of Loganville, Bunny Dunn of Griffin, Benjamin St. John of Griffin; grandchildren, Krista (J.C.) Freeman, Grace Dunn, Sadie Dunn; great granddaughter, Kinley Freeman; siblings, Paul (Teresa) Lyle and Penny Williams. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 5, 2017 beginning 11:00 am at Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Nelson Grist will officiate. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
